This is one of the most moving books I’ve ever read. If you’re beginning your journey into self-love and/or you struggle with shame – you need to read this book. Brene Brown expertly dissects the destructive shame cycle and explains why we are so connected to feeling badly about ourselves. When we understand why we do what we do – we can then change it.
These are items I keep in my gym bag at all times. I use them to help stretch out my pecs, delts, and hamstrings. Mobility is king!
The next step in torture is the grid roller. This does an incredible job of digging into that fascia in large muscles like glutes and hamstrings.
One of the most important recovery tools you can own is a high density foam roller. Stretching and general mobility is great, but it’s often not enough. Foam rolling will help loosen up your tight muscles to allow you to maintain mobility and flexibility – which is the most proactive thing you can do to avoid injury.
